The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is one government agency which virtually everyone has heard of. Their media image is defined by the battles they wage unearthing corruption and unethical behaviour in the corporate world. But they like many other Government agencies which I’ve mentioned recently are also proactively helping small business operators (rather than just being a regulator) and have compiled an excellent Small Business Education Program.
It is available at any time to commence and can be completed at your own pace. There are 10 modules, each taking about 15-20 minutes to complete and most include a short quiz to test your understanding of the topic. The topics include:
- Misleading Conduct & Advertising
- Pricing and Unfair Selling Practices
- Consumer Contracts
- Exclusive dealing & resale price maintenance and
- much more
The program is of course free of charge!
